Couple arrested for eating iguana on Facebook

February
10

Iguanas, the other white meat.

A couple posted an album of their recent vacation to the Bahamas on Facebook, including a picture of them feasting on a rare iguana.

According to police, the pics showed them “catching an iguana, parts of an iguana on a grill, two men eating the iguana pieces, and a man and a woman cleaning what appears to be undersized conch.”

Authorities in the Bahamas somehow found out about the pics and arrested them for violating the Fisheries Regulations and the Wild Animal Protection Act.

Now that these guys got busted, perhaps I should take down this pic on my Facebook, of me trying to eat my ridiculously adorable nephew:

Come on, tell me that you don’t want to pour ketchup on him and eat him.

Aman, I’ve never commented on one of your posts, but I think it’s time. There are many, many chickens, and therefore eggs, in the Bahamas. They have plenty of protein, as do the many fish in the sea. The climate makes it possible for residents to enjoy delicious varieties of melon and citrus on a daily basis. Those who crave exotic flavors of rarely experienced meats are often mistaken for being curious. But I believe it’s greed. Until your next post involving meet consumption or banjos…

    I mean meat consumption. Damn.
