A man this week pled guilty in a Colorado district court for the murder of a 7-year-old child.
According to the Rocky Mountain News, Lamar Roberts, 18, was babysitting the child with his girlfriend Heather Trujillo, 17, and slammed the child “to the floor during an imitation of the ‘Mortal Kombat’ video game.”
I won’t waste anytime talking about how despicable it is for a grown adult beating up a child, even if it was for play. But call me a dork, I’m curious to know what kind of Mortal Kombat move it was.
Because I don’t recall anybody in Mortal Kombat having a slam move. I think Baraka had one, but it wasn’t his signature move.
Thanks Rocky Mountain News, for leaving me with unanswered questions.
But here’s another case where I’m annoyed with blaming video games for unacceptable behavior. When you blame a game (that thousands of normal people play with no problems whatsoever), it almost mitigates the despicable acts these people do. That’s all I’m sayin.
