Are we too wussy to be leaders?

Let the Gen Y bashing continue. So-called experts, social observers and HR people have been saying us under 30ers have been too pampered, sheltered and complimented to make it in the real world.
Turns out that combination of coddling also makes us lousy candidates to be entrepreneurs, some big wig PhD tells Forbes. com.
The “Everyone Gets a Trophy” generation is just too wimpy to handle the hard punches people have to endure to be trailblazers and industry pioneers, he argues.
Is he right?

First off, that PhD guy looks like Borat with a receding hairline, so he loses all credibility in my book.
But I think given the economy, it actually encourages our generation to be entrepreneurs and work harder. Think about it, funding for higher education has been cut across the country, forcing many young people to get jobs early on to pay for school.
The tighter your budgets are, the more disciplined you become with spending.
But I guess I’m just basing this off my own personal experience and my friends.
I think “under 30” is too broad of a range… I think under 23 fits the bill a bit more. I didn’t start noticing all this coddling until I graduated college, but that is just me.
I’m glad they are all wusses. When my shelf life is reaching it’s expiration, chances are I won’t be bought out by someone who is younger and more experienced because they won’t be able to handle the pressure.
In yo face new college grads!
