The Beatles will now join the song catalog for Rock Band 2 thanks to a sweet deal that is expected to be announced later today by MTV Games.

With that said, Guitar Hero, I think it’s time you and I start seeing other people. We’ve been together for over three years and I don’t know how much more I can take.

I mean, in the beginning of our relationship, it was great. I smile thinking about all the good times we had jamming to songs like “Carry on My Wayward Son” by Kansas and “Iron Man” by Black Sabbath.

But where did our relationship go after that? All those nights, I kept asking you that but you kept ignoring me because you were too afraid to take our relationship to the next level.

You kept saying, “Aman, I’ll change. I promise I’ll add 4-player support and an extensive song catalog.”

And now you finally did with Guitar Hero World Tour. But it doesn’t feel like the same Guitar Hero that I fell in love with three years ago. You even tried to make me forget about all the hurt you did to me by adding a music creation studio, like I’m some kind of cheap whore you can win over with stupid features.

Sometimes I look at you now and I feel like I don’t even know you any more.

Then about a year ago, Rock Band came into my life. After all those cold and stormy nights, it was Rock Band who understood my pain.  He was giving me all the things that you should have been giving me.

Oh, and you would get so jealous every time I spent time with Rock Band. You’d get so mad at me that you wouldn’t even support Rock Band’s instruments in Guitar Hero 3.

I can’t take it anymore Guitar Hero. Rock Band knows how to treat me way better than you do. I just can’t believe it took me so long to realize that.

You’re a great game, Guitar Hero. You really are. And I’m sure whomever you end up with is going to be a really lucky guy. I just think it would be better for both of us if we went our separate ways.
