Obama advertising in video games

I visited my parents over the weekend and as I’m sitting there schooling my little brother in the video game Burnout Paradise, I noticed an Obama billboard in the game.

I did some research and EA Games apparently has confirmed that Barack Obama’s campaign did pay for the ad, possibly making this the first time a campaign has used video games to target voters.
John McCain needs to step it up. What better way to go after young voters than by making yourself an unlockable character in Mortal Kombat?

But will the youth turn out to vote? This could be counter productive if they stay indoors to play games.
