Lame! Guitar Hero studio won’t allow covers

Part of the reason I was incredibly excited for Guitar Hero: World Tour (comes out on Oct. 26) is its music studio — where you can create your own songs and post them online for people to download for free.tjndc5-5ix4da42dna76g2ucbl_original.jpg

I was looking forward to it because I assumed all these nerds would upload covers to my favorite songs. But Activision has announced that it will pull down songs violating copyrights.

So much for my hopes to play “MMMBop.”

That being said, I’m still pumped for this game. The song list blows Rock Band 2 out of the water and the new instruments look pretty slick too.
